Das altbewährte, traditionelle Duftpapier aus Frankreich: Papier d'Armenie, das sogenannte armenische Papier, ist ein mit Styrax, dem Harz des Storaxbaumes, getränktes Papier. Es entfaltet beim Anzünden einen herben, holzigen Duft, ähnlich dem des Weihrauchs, aber leichter. Ihm wird eine geruchsneutralisierende, luftreinigende und Enthusiasmus fördernde Wirkung nachgesagt. Seit 1888 wird armenisches Papier in der Peripherie von Paris hergestellt.
Traditionell wird einen Streifen Papier, zickzackgefaltet, auf einer feuerfesten Unterlage angezündet. Es enwickelt sich dann ein duftender Rauch. Alternativ kann man auch einzelne Blätter zwischen die Wäsche legen.

Scented paper strips Papier d'Arménie, the so called Armenian paper, is a room deodorizing product, produced in France in the same manufactury since 1888.
The sheets are coated with benzoin resin, the dried sap of styrax trees. When burnt the sheet begins to glow and releases a light wooden scent that is said not only to deodorize the room, but also to purify it.
The papier d’Arménie is used by setting light to a single strip, detached from the booklet one at a time, folded concertina-style, and placed on a heat-proof surface. It can also be used without being lit. Simply place one in a cupboard or drawer and it will slowly release a soft, sweet fragrance.
Each booklet consists of thirty-six pre-cut paper strips, in twelve sheets of three.
